Chelsea have invited Julian Nagelsmann to London for further talks as the Blues look to step up their efforts to hire a new manager before the next season gets underway.
The west London giants are on the search for a new face to be appointed as the long-term manager this summer after Chelsea brought in ex-boss Frank Lampard on an interim basis until the end of the season.
According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is claimed that the former Bayern Munich head coach Nagelsmann could soon be jetting to the English capital city to present his ideas for the club to the Chelsea top officials.
Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern Munich last month and replaced by the ex-Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel but the former could be in line for a swift return to the dugout with Chelsea keen on landing his services come the summer.
Chelsea’s technical director Christopher Vivell enjoys a good relationship with Nagelsmann, having worked together at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig, and this could work in the latter’s favour.
