Chelsea have set a £75 million asking price for Real Madrid target Kai Havertz with the German forward wanted by top clubs across the continent this summer.
Real have identified Havertz as a top name on their summer wish list with the Chelsea attacker being lined up as a replacement for the outgoing Karim Benzema who has left Spain to sign for Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad on a lucrative two-year contract.
According to a report from the Evening Standard, it is claimed that the new Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is willing to part ways with Havertz with the former keen to bolster the Blues front line with a new striker from the market.
The Stamford Bridge giants, however, want to recoup the £75.8 million fee they had forked out to sign Havertz from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen two years back and Real could have to meet that valuation should they want to land the 23-year-old.
Havertz is said to have told Chelsea he wants a fresh challenge amid interest arriving in his services from Real and the Germany international is likely to reject an extension at the Bridge where he has two years on his current deal.
