Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano added more, saying the total cost is higher than the player’s buy-out fee. The deal includes £27 million upfront, with an additional £4.8 million contingent on Estevao’s appearances for Palmeiras.

A further £14 million is linked to him becoming a “multi-season starter” at Chelsea, and £2.8 million is allocated for challenging add-ons. There is also a specific bonus included if Estevao wins the Ballon d’Or.

This financial structure allows Chelsea to manage their budget efficiently, ensuring they only pay the full amount if Estevao fulfills his potential.
