Chelsea are reportedly still in the mix for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice ahead of this summer’s transfer window as the Blues look to strengthen their engine room.
The England international Rice has grown into one of the top defensive midfield players across the continent and a move away from the London Stadium is said to be on the cards sooner rather than later.
News #Rice: Chelsea is definitely in the race and highly interested – confirmed! He’s one of the top candidates in order to strengthen the defensive midfield.

According to a recent tweet from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, it is claimed that Graham Potter’s Chelsea continue to keep tabs on the West Ham skipper Rice who has courted interest from the Premier League table toppers Arsenal of late.
The Gunners are being considered as the frontrunners to land Rice’s signature this summer when he leaves West Ham but Chelsea are likely to battle their city rivals on the transfer front to the coveted signing.
Chelsea have decided against triggering the option to buy clause in Denis Zakaria’s loan deal at the end of the season and the Swiss midfielder will be returning to Juventus upon the end of his season-long loan.
