The latest reports have claimed that English giants Chelsea have rejected an offer for Michy Batshuayi from Turkish club Besiktas this summer transfer window.
Frank Lampard finally got his first win as a Chelsea manager and that will do a whole lot of good for the former English midfielder when the West London club claimed all three points against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
The 41-year-old Lampard has not been able to sign any new players this summer transfer window due to the transfer ban that Chelsea are going through at the moment. The Blues will be without any new signings for the next few months and have called back a few of their players from loan deals elsewhere at Stamford Bridge.
With the European transfer window closing on September 2nd, Chelsea has the opportunity to sell Michy Batshuayi who has fallen further down the pecking order at the club behind Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.
The 25-year-old joined Chelsea back in the summer of 2016 for £33 million but has been sent out on loan for most of the time at Valencia, Borussia Dortmund, and Crystal Palace. But it seems that Batshuayi is prepared to fight for a spot in Lampard’s starting eleven because he wants to prove his worth to the new Chelsea manager.
Super Lig side Besiktas were keen on signing Batshuayi in the summer transfer window but Chelsea has reportedly rejected any advances as they plan on keeping the Belgian center-forward at the club for the near future.
