Chelsea reckon that their Premier League rivals Liverpool are the clear frontrunners to sign Jude Bellingham next summer in a big-money transfer.
Borussia Dortmund could be forced to cash in on their star midfielder at the end of the season with the 19-year-old Bellingham courted by some of the biggest clubs across the land following his impressive displays over the past year and a half.
Graham Potter’s Blues have been credited with an interest in signing the English midfield talent previously but it does not appear to be too solid a rumour as Chelsea look to shift their focus toward ensuring a deal for Benfica’s Enzo Fernandes.
According to a report from The Athletic, it is claimed that the Stamford Bridge camp remain hopeful of landing the prized signature of Bellingham despite apprehensions that Liverpool are in pole position to snap up the former Birmingham City talent.
Fernandes, meanwhile, looks set to sign for the west Londoners Chelsea in the coming days with Graham Potter stepping up his side’s efforts to bring in the highly rated Argentine midfielder who enjoyed a terrific campaign at last year’s FIFA World Cup.
