According to a claim from the Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade, the west Londoners have already made it clear they will match PSG’s bid for the Sporting Lisbon man with a Chelsea official flown out to Portugal.
Sporting boss Ruben Amorim has said that he will not be able to provide assurances that Ugarte will stay put at the club beyond the summer with some of the biggest clubs across the continent waiting eagerly in the wings for his signature.
Chelsea will hope to walk away with the prized signing considering the Stamford Bridge camp are looking to revamp their midfield roster with Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic and Conor Gallagher linked with moves elsewhere.
