Chelsea are pushing to emerge as the frontrunners to sign Andre Onana this summer with the Inter Milan goalkeeper said to be a top transfer target for the Blues.
The Stamford Bridge giants are seeking a new face to reinforce their goalkeeping department and speculation has been rife that Onana is one of the names considered by the clubs’ top brass.
Edouard Mendy is likely to leave west London this summer after failing to agree on a contract extension with the Blues and bids for world record signing Kepa would also be entertained with Chelsea looking to overhaul the squad.
According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that Inter No.1 Onana has a valuation of around £40 million and the 27-year-old shot-stopper’s wage demands will not pose any problems for Chelsea’s wage structure.
Onana has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe and Chelsea would be hoping to make an early approach for the Serie A star to avoid losing out in his signature to the other big-name suitors in the chase.
