Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for Bayern Munich’s young striker Mathys Tel.
The 19-year-old French talent had a mixed season, starting strong but losing his impact as the campaign progressed.
Despite being mostly a substitute, Tel showed great potential early on but found playing time hard to come by later in the season.
This led to various transfer rumors, with both Manchester United and Chelsea expressing interest in Tel during the spring.
However, Bayern managed to convince him to stay, resulting in Tel extending his contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029.

Recently, journalist Si Phillips reignited these rumors by claiming that Chelsea still have their eyes on Tel.
Writing on his SPTC Substack, Phillips stated, “Mathys Tel of Bayern is still very much ‘one to watch’ right now” according to SPTC sources.
They believe he might consider leaving the club, depending on Bayern’s new signings.
This could be a situation that evolves.

Chelsea, who are in the market for another attacker despite already signing young talents Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu, are keen to bolster their offensive options.
