Chelsea are reportedly preparing their second bid to sign Everton talent Anthony Gordon with the Blues owner Todd Boehly keen to bring in the youngster this summer to strengthen his squad.
Everton are reluctant to part ways with Gordon after already losing Richarlison earlier in the summer as the Brazilian frontman signed for Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
According to a claim from football.london, Chelsea are ready to go in with a second and improved offer for the 21-year-old Gordon who is open to the idea of joining Chelsea and has made it known to Everton boss Frank Lampard.
Chelsea could sweeten their offer for Gordon by including a few fringe players to convince Everton on sanctioning Gordon’s sale despite Lampard’s insistence that he wants to retain the highly-rated attacking talent.
Everton had offered Gordon a new deal earlier this summer only for the player and his representatives snubbing the renewal offer which puts the Goodison Park camp in a tight spot with limited room for negotiations.
