Chelsea are prepared to pay upto £70 million to make Joao Felix’s transfer permanent this summer with co-owner Todd Bohely keen on retaining the Atletico Madrid loanee.
Felix put out an impressive display on his Chelsea debut against Fulham before being shown the red card for a rash challenge but marked his return to action with a goal in the 1-1 draw against West Ham United in the London derby.
With Chelsea looking to bolster their front line over the summer, there is recognition in the camp that the Portugal international Felix could be a good addition to Graham Potter’s squad should his stay at Stamford Bridge be made permanent.
According to a report from Cadena SER, it is claimed that the Blues co-owner Boehly has no qualms over sanctioning another big money move to land Felix’s signature as he is aware of other clubs keeping tabs on the Atletico forward.
It is said that Felix would be unwilling to return to his parent club if Diego Simeone remains in charge next term and the prospect of staying at Chelsea could be of interest to the player.
