Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic a luring wage bump to convince him to make the move to Stamford Bridge next summer.
Brozovic’s future with the Serie A holders Inter Milan has become the subject of much speculation with the midfield man demanding a big pay rise to sign on extended terms at San Siro.
The Croatian international, however, is willing to stay put with Inter Milan despite the talk gaining ground that Simone Inzaghi’s camp understood to be reluctant to agree to his wage demands, according to reports from Tuttosport ( via Sports Witness).
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea have positioned themselves as suitors for the 28-year-old Brozovic should he choose to leave Inter Milan at the end of his contract but the Blues will have to face competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
Saul Niguez’s misfiring start to life in the Chelsea shirt after making his deadline day transfer this summer has meant that Tuchel will be scouting the market for alternative options to bolster his midfield strength.
