Chelsea prepared to cash in on midfielder Conor Gallagher this summer

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to cash in on midfielder Conor Gallagher this summer as the Blues look to balance their books and avoid any potential Financial Fair Play issues.

The youth academy graduate Gallagher has some of the top clubs across England and Europe, including the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund, chasing his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is claimed that Gallagher could be one of the first names heading out the exit door at Stamford Bridge later this year with Chelsea looking to secure a greater profit margin on selling a homegrown talent.

Gallagher has not been a regular name on the team sheet for the Blues this season following his return to the club last summer from a prolific loan spell at Crystal Palace and a move away in January to sign for Everton did not go through in the final stages.

Everton, then under the charge of Frank Lampard, had agreed upon a £45 million fee to sign the England international midfielder but Gallagher had resisted the switch to Goodison Park to fight for his place in the Chelsea squad.
