Chelsea are understood to be plotting a shock swoop for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho and offering him an exit route from Old Trafford.
The Blues are very much in the transfer market for reinforcements to bolster their under-fire front line and could look to the England international Sancho in the first transfer window under the new head coach Graham Potter.
Potter is sure to be backed by the Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly come the New Year when the transfer window reopens for business and Chelsea will be expected to bring in new signings to get their misfiring campaign back on track.
According to a report from the Italian publication Calciomercato, Chelsea are interested in sending first-team outcast Christian Pulisic in the opposite direction to sign Sancho as part of a swap deal in January.
The USMNT forward Pulisic has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge of late with the former Borussia Dortmund starlet failing to earn regular first-team action for Chelsea despite the change of managers.
