Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech is in line to miss out on Tuesday night’s Champions League clash against his long-standing suitors AC Milan with an illness.
Ziyech was linked with a move to San Siro in the summer window with AC Milan credited with a strong interest in moving in for the Moroccon who has struggled for regular playing opportunities in the Chelsea camp.
According to a report from The Daily Express, however, Ziyech will not be available to show his ability to his suitors come Tuesday in Italy when Graham Potter’s Chelsea lock horns with the Serie A champions.
It is said that the Blues head coach Potter has left Ziyech out of his matchday squad after the former Ajax star missed training with an illness following which the latter is set to stay put in London to work on his fitness.
Ziyech’s future at Stamford Bridge has become the subject of much talk of late with rumours doing the rounds that the 29-year-old has set his sights on a move away in order to get his career back on track.
