Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech could be set for a big-money £55 million move to AC Milan with the Italians stepping up their pursuit of the Moroccan.
Ziyech is not expected to stay put at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer’s transfer window with the attacking midfielder failing to impress in the English capital since his arrival from Ajax in 2020.
Serie A champions AC Milan have long been credited with a strong interest in moving in for the Blues attacking midfielder and with directorial problems now a thing of the past at San Siro, the club will be in line to fast-track a deal for signing Ziyech.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that Chelsea’s new owners, led by Todd Boehly, are hoping to pocket a generous price for parting ways with Ziyech this summer with a £55 million fee said to be agreed between the two sides.
Ziyech heading out the exit door would be the second major outgoing from the attacking ranks in the Chelsea camp after Belgium international Romelu Lukaku made his return to Italy’s top flight by joining Inter Milan.
