Chelsea plan another spending spree this summer to bolster the squad further

Chelsea plan another spending spree this summer to bolster the squad further despite the owners splashing the cash in excess of £500 million across their first two transfer windows.

The Blues have emerged as the highest spenders by a big margin with the club bringing in as many as 16 new signings since last summer and owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake look set to add to that number in the coming months.

According to a report from The Evening Standard, it is claimed that a new goalkeeper and striker is high on the wishlist of Chelsea who could also sign a new midfielder and another central defender to provide Graham Potter with more options.

Brentford’s highly rated shot-stopper David Raya is one name said to be considered by Chelsea with current goalkeepers, Kepa and Edouard Mendy, failing to impress under both Thomas Tuchel and Potter.

One big summer signing for Chelsea would be the arrival of French attacker Christopher Nkunku with the deal already struck between the Blues and RB Leipzig for £50 million.
