Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for German forward Timo Werner who has failed to cement a spot on the team sheet two years into his move to the Bridge.
Werner’s joining the Blues camp in the summer of 2019 had been subject to many expectations from the then Leipzig talisman following his exploits in front of the goal in the Bundesliga which made him a wanted man in the market.
After a timid debut campaign at Stamford Bridge with just 12 goals in all competitions to his name, Werner could not improve upon that last term as he netted 11 goals and endured a patchy run of form over the course of the season.
According to a report from football.london, Chelsea are open to selling the speedy attacker should Thomas Tuchel’s side receive the right offer from Werner’s suitors which include German top flight bigwigs Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund have long been credited with a strong interest in moving in for Werner’s signature but the player’s wage, which is believed to be in the region of £13.7m-per-season, has put off the Signal Iduna Park outfit.
