Chelsea are reportedly not worried over the recent transfer speculation that has been doing the rounds linking Mason Mount with an exit from the club.
The England international is understood to be keen on renewing terms at Stamford Bridge but could be lured into demanding a move elsewhere with Liverpool credited with a strong interest in the midfielder.
According to reports from ESPN, however, the Blues camp are set to hold out on opening talks with Mount and his representatives over a new deal with two-and-a-half years left to run on the player’s current terms.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are keeping track of Mount’s situation at the Bridge but the player’s healthy relationship with the gaffer Thomas Tuchel should come as a calming influence for the west London outfit.
Chelsea have other contract extensions to prioritise heading into the forthcoming January transfer window with centre-back duo Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen’s deals due to expire at the end of the ongoing campaign.
