Following the departure of Eden Hazard, Chelsea is not keen on losing another star forward and have reportedly rejected the advances of La Liga clubs in a bid to sign Willian.
Willian has made nearly 300 appearances for the West London club ever since making the move from Anzhi Makhachkala back in 2013 and has helped Chelsea to Two Premier League titles, two Europa League titles, One FA Cup and one League Cup as well during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Although Willian has been linked with a move away from Chelsea over the past two seasons the rumors have never really materialized and the 30-year-old is still very much a part of Chelsea. Due to his ability and skill, Willian attracted interest from La Liga champions Barcelona last season but a move did not go through.
The Catalonian giants are reportedly interested in signing up Willian once again this season and have lined up a £35 million offer on the table for the Chelsea winger. Even Atletico Madrid are believed to have negotiations with Chelsea over Willian at a similar price as he has just one year left on his current deal with the Blues.
But Chelsea has reportedly rejected both the offers and are hoping to keep Willian at the club for a few more seasons by offering him a contract extension for two more years.
There is still a lot of uncertainty revolving around Stamford Bridge as Maurizio Sarri left the club after just one season in charge despite winning the Europa League and finishing inside the top 4. Chelsea also lost their star winger Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in a £130 million deal and are now desperate to tie down Willian to the club for a near future.
