Andreas Christensen is unlikely to make the move to Sevilla as a part of Chelsea’s cash-plus-player bid to land the signature of Jules Kounde this summer.
The Danish international centre-back was rumored to be one of the names in the Chelsea camp who could have been sent in the opposite direction to coax Sevilla into parting ways with Kounde.
Reports from The Express, however, claim that it is Kurt Zouma who is of interest the La Liga giants Sevilla and Christensen is considered valuable to the Blues who are in line to hand him a new deal which will see the highly-rated defender feature on the Chelsea teamsheet for years to come.
Christensen’s current contract at Stamford Bridge comes to a close in the summer of 2022 and Tuchel is understood to be pushing for the Dane to pen an extension with the west London giants as Chelsea hope to avoid a repeat of the Antonio Rudiger issue.
Rudiger too has his stay in the Chelsea shirt ending next summer with the German centre-back yet to agree upon extended terms giving Tuchel something to worry about heading into the new campaign.
