Chelsea are mulling over a late-window move for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha with the Blues seeking attacking reinforcements before Thursday’s deadline day.
Palace have so far been been reluctant to sanction a move elsewhere for Zaha who remains the club’s dangerman in the attacking third of the pitch amid interest in his services from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal.
According to a report from The Independent, it is claimed that the Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is keen to make a late bid to bring in Zaha and freshen his front line with Zaha intent on a big-six club.
The Ivorian forward’s arrival at Stamford Bridge could provide Tuchel with the much-needed firepower in front of the goal which has been lacking in recent times despite Raheem Sterling’s move earlier in the summer from Manchester City.
Sterling netted a brace in the weekend’s 2-1 win over Leicester City with the England international putting out a solid showing even as his strike partners Kai Havertz and Mason Mount failed to impress.
