Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante’s contract talks are reportedly into their ‘final stages’ with the Blues on the verge of extending the Frenchman’s stay at the Bridge.
Kante was on the sidelines for seven months with a hamstring injury in August last year meaning that the World Cup-winning France international would be missing out on Chelsea’s campaign.
As he nears his return to the field, the Chelsea camp are keen to retain the former Leicester City midfielder’s services beyond the coming summer when Kante’s current terms were up for renewal.

According to a recent tweet from the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Kante is expected to sign a two-year deal which will run until 2025 with Chelsea having the option to extend the contract for a further year.
The 31-year-old maestro has been one of the most influential performers for the Blues and amid his contract talks stalemate, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain were both reportedly monitoring his situation in the hopes of signing him on a free transfer.
