Chelsea FC midfield starlet Trevor Chalobah could be heading to Ligue 1 outfit Lorient on a loan deal this summer, according to reports. The 21-year old is yet to feature for the Blues senior squad despite his impressive run of displays for the club’s youth development side.
Chalobah spent the 2019-20 season on a loan stint away from Stamford Bridge at Championship side Huddersfield Town. The midfielder featured in 36 league games for the Terriers, scoring one goal in the process.
His performances for Huddersfield Town across the past year have alerted Lorient to the possibility of singing the Blues youngster ahead of the French club’s promotion to the Ligue 1 this coming season.
Frank Lampard would certainly be open to sanctioning yet another loan move for the 21-year old Chalobah. The Chelsea FC boss is not lacking any shortage of options in his midfield department at Stamford Bridge at the moment.
With Billy Gilmour set to return from injury shortly, the Blues should have considerable depth at the center of the park when the 2020-21 Premier League season gets underway next month.
