Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel shot down speculation of his interest in signing Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona on deadline day.
There had been rumours doing the rounds that the Stamford Bridge giants had attempted to table an offer for the Camp Nou contract rebel Dembele who was open to making the move to the Premier League.
Tuchel, however, dismissed the talk of his reaching out to Dembele, a former player under the German’s management at Borussia Dortmund, claim reports from Sky Sports, with the Blues boss insisting that he was happy with the ‘calm’ transfer window for his side.
“I did not have contact with Ousmane. There was no contact in winter.”
“I’m very satisfied because it was a calm window, and to be calm is always the best thing.”
