Chelsea have reportedly made an approach for PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare on deadline day with Thomas Tuchel looking to bolster his midfield options.
The Blues have endured a shaky start to the new campaign and with their midfield options misfiring, Tuchel has sought to bring in a fresh face before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, Chelsea have zeroed in on the 24-year-old PSV anchorman Sangare in an attempt to re-energize the engine room at Stamford Bridge which has lost some key names to injuries.
N’Golo Kante’s future in the Chelsea shirt beyond the end of the 22-23 campaign hangs in the balance and could be another reason why the Blues head coach Tuchel wants to add to his options in the centre of the park.
Sangare played 49 games across all competitions last season and was a standout performer for his side PSV who finished as the runners-up in the Eredivisie with just two points separating them from the champions Ajax.
