According to Football London, Chelsea has made an approach to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) regarding a potential transfer deal for star winger Neymar.
The 31-year-old had a productive season, scoring 18 goals and providing 17 assists in 29 appearances across all competitions. However, PSG is reportedly looking to offload some high-profile players, and injuries have also been a factor, making Neymar’s departure a possibility.
PSG has identified Bernardo Silva from Manchester City as a priority signing for the upcoming season. If Neymar leaves, it would free up funds to secure the services of Silva.
The club is said to be seeking a “good” price for Neymar’s transfer, considering he joined PSG in 2017 for a world-record fee of €222 million from Barcelona.

After a disappointing season that saw Chelsea finish 12th in the Premier League, new manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly targeting several high-profile players for the upcoming season.
Among them is Neymar, a player Pochettino is familiar with from his time managing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the 2021-22 season.
Chelsea is eager to secure a deal for the 31-year-old Brazilian international, especially considering that Neymar has only two years remaining on his contract with PSG.

Since Todd Boehly became a co-owner of Chelsea last summer, the club has already spent over €600 million.
However, if players like Mason Mount and Kai Havertz are linked with moves away, it could create room for the potential signing of Neymar.
