Chelsea are looking to make a shock approach for Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane this summer with the Senegalese forward keen on a return to the Premier League.
Mane made the move to Bayern last summer from Liverpool where he enjoyed six glittering seasons and won every trophy available to him under Jurgen Klopp who was believed to be reluctant to part company with his long serving attacker.
The former Southampton man, however, has struggled to replicate that success at Bayern where a dismal debut campaign could force Bayern to cash in on Mane with Chelsea waiting eagerly in the wings for his signature.
According to a report from Football Insider, it is claimed that Chelsea are keeping tabs on Mane’s situation in Germany with a view to sign him when the transfer window reopens for business later this year.
Chelsea are out to bring in reinforcements for their misfiring front line following a pitiful campaign in the attacking third despite new faces coming through the Stamford Bridge door over the last two transfer windows.
