Chelsea are looking to loaning to loan out their young goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina in January just months after he made the move to west London.
Slonina signed for the Blues last summer from MLS outfit Chicago Fire in a deal worth £12 million with the 18-year-old arriving in the English capital for the first time after turning out in a first complete domestic campaign back in America.
According to a report from The Evening Standard, Chelsea are weighing up a loan exit for the teenage shot-stopper in the hope of Slonina earning some valuable senior team football elsewhere before his returns to the Stamford Bridge fold.
He is said to be in contention to make the USA squad for the FIFA World Cup later this year under the national team head coach Gregg Belhalter after an impressive series of displays for his new former side Chicago Fire.
Chelsea’s goalkeeping options in the senior team ranks look unlikely to be displayed anytime soon even as there has been a change in the XI with Kepa emerging as the first-choice option ahead of Edouard Mendy.
