Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko looks all set for a return to Stamford Bridge with AC Milan reportedly cutting his loan deal short this coming summer.
The French midfield man Bakayoko signed for the Serie A giants on a two-year loan deal with the option to make the move permanent last year with his career in the English capital unable to take off.
Bakayoko, however, has fallen out of favour with the AC Milan manager Pioli who has dropped the 27-year-old from his first XI plans with the midfielder’s last outing for the Italians coming on January 17.
According to the journalist Nicolo Schira, Milan would have to fork out a sizable sum to Chelsea should Bakayoko make a certain number of appearances in a clause which comes into effect come the next season.
His return to the Chelsea fold is unlikely to mean a revival of fortunes for the Frenchman who could be shipped out on a permanent basis ahead of the next campaign with Tuchel keen to overhaul his ranks.
