Chelsea keeping close tabs on Real Madrid first-teamer Eder Militao with Thomas Tuchel on the hunt for much-needed defensive reinforcements before the next season gets underway.
The loss of both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer on free transfers has been followed by increasing uncertainty over the future of skipper Cesar Azpilicueta who is wanted by Catalan giants Barcelona.
According to a report from the Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, it is claimed that Chelsea are readying a bid for the Brazil international Militao in the hopes of luring the young central defender to Stamford Bridge.
Real, meanwhile, are said to be unwilling to part ways with their defensive asset who stepped up in light of Sergio Ramos’ exit last summer to cement his berth on the team sheet and help Carlo Ancelotti’s men to domestic and continental success.
Militao has a contract with the Santiago Bernebeu camp until 2025 and would be expected to stay put in the Spanish capital city where a bright future awaits him despite interest in his services from abroad.
