Thomas Tuchel’s long-term admiration for Juventus full-back Alex Sandro could pay off with Chelsea keeping tabs on the highly-rated Brazil international ahead of this summer.
Reports from the Express claim that the new Chelsea manager is eyeing a move for Sandro and the Blues chief Marina Granovskaia is also keen on bringing the defender to Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel hunting for a more attacking left-back for the Blues
The Blues gaffer has set up his side in such a manner that requires the full-backs to position themselves in a more attacking role out wide on the pitch and this is a major reason behind Tuchel wanting to sign Sandro for Chelsea in the summer.
With Ben Chilwell, who arrived at the Bridge only last summer, not suitable in an attacking left-back role, the England international has found himself sidelined of late by Marcos Alonso who fits Tuchel’s style of desired play.
A swap deal on the cards to bring Sandro to west London
Chelsea could be in line to offer fringe first-teamer Emerson Palmieri in a swap deal to Juventus which would help facilitate the Serie A giants parting ways with their prized defensive asset.
Emerson has been long linked with a move away from Chelsea and Juventus had been one of the Italian sides besides Inter Milan in the reckoning to land his signature last summer before he ended up staying put at Stamford Bridge.
