Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Leicester City wantaway star Youri Tielemans who is out of contract with the Midlands outfit next summer.
The Foxes have failed in their efforts to convince Tielemans to extend his current terms which are due to expire at the end of the season as some of England’s biggest clubs show an interest in snapping up the highly rated midfielder.
With rumours doing the rounds that the 25-year-old maestro has no intention to extend his contract with the King Power Stadium outfit, Chelsea appear to be the latest Premier League bigwig keen on landing his signature.
According to a claim by CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, the Blues could emerge as dark horses in the chase for the Leicester playmaker who is available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
Chelsea’s experienced midfield pairing Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are out of contract in the summer of 2023 and the manager Graham Potter has his task cut out in bringing in viable signings to add to his engine room options.
