Manchester City and Chelsea are set to join Real Madrid in the race to sign Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, according to AS.
The Canadian international has a contract until 2025, but with no progress in contract renewal talks, he will have a year left on his deal next summer.
Real Madrid are ahead in negotiations, having engaged with Davies’ agent, aiming to secure a deal with the player and his representatives before entering talks with Bayern.
The Spanish giants are seeking a new left-back due to concerns over summer signing Fran Garcia.

However, Chelsea and Man City have also expressed interest in the Bayern full-back.
Manchester City currently lacks a recognized left-back in their squad, with manager Pep Guardiola opting for centre-backs Nathan Ake and Josko Gvardiol in that position. Hence, they currently lack a proper threat from that position.
Meanwhile, Chelsea possess an injury-prone Ben Chilwell, along with Marc Cucurella and Ian Maatsen vying for the left-back spot. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has used Levi Colwill in the left-back position.
Although Bayern are determined to retain Davies, his decision will play a pivotal role in the transfer battle. It remains to be seen what will be the outcome of this scenario.
