Chelsea are increasingly confident of signing French winger Ousmane Dembele this summer with progress made by the west London giants in pursuit of the player’s signature.
The FC Barcelona contract rebel has emerged as one of the priority targets on the wishlist for Thomas Tuchel who is expected to be backed rather well on the financial front by the new Chelsea owners led by Todd Boehly.
According to a report from Sky Sports, it is claimed that the Blues could be closing in on a deal for landing Dembele with the France international now tipped to leave Camp Nou and enter free agency.
Dembele, whose future in the Barca shirt has attracted much speculation in recent months, is understood to be keen on making the switch to England’s top flight where there is no shortage of suitors wanting to move in for his services.
Tuchel is on the hunt for much-needed reinforcements for his attacking lineup heading into the new season with the Chelsea boss open to parting ways with the likes of Christian Pulisic, Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech.
