Chelsea are in pole position to land Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar with Thomas Tuchel’s side in line for a favour from the San Siro camp.
Tuchel’s nod to Romelu Lukaku heading out the Stamford Bridge exit door earlier in the week to re-sign for Inter in a season-long loan deal is expected to be subject to a ‘special treatment’ from the Serie A giants with respect to the sale of Skriniar.
According to Corriere dello Sport ( via The Daily Express), Chelsea could be handed a fresh boost in their pursuit of the Serie A defensive talent who also has Paris Saint-Germain chasing his coveted signature in this summer’s transfer window.
Tuchel is said to be a huge admirer of the Inter Milan defender and following PSG’s opening bid being turned down by the Italians, Chelsea are hopeful of striking an agreement to bring in Skriniar and bolster their roster.
A strong relationship with Inter on the transfer front after the Lukaku deal went through has given confidence to Chelsea in potential opening talks to land a top name on the summer wishlist in the 27-year-old Skriniar.
