According to TeamTalk, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich are all keen on securing the services of Schalke 04’s midfielder Assan Ouedraogo.
At just 17 years old, the highly-rated star has quickly made a name for himself at Schalke and is regarded as one of Germany’s top emerging talents.
He’s even been likened to the “German Paul Pogba,” and several major clubs are expressing strong interest in signing him.
TeamTalk reports that Ouedraogo has recently inked a lucrative deal with Adidas for representation, and he is well-recognized within Germany’s academy system.

All three of the mentioned clubs, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, are actively pursuing this promising young player, with Fraser Fletcher describing him as a “very special player” with immense potential.
Ouedraogo’s style of play closely resembles that of Pogba, and there’s a belief that he has the potential to achieve similar success as the World Cup-winning midfielder.
Regarded as one of the most promising young talents to emerge from Schalke’s academy, the club has secured his services with a contract extending until 2027.
Hence, any club would need to splash out £15 million to sign him. However, the Bundesliga club is expected to aim for the best possible deal if any club make an official attempt to sign him.
The young German international has already made nine appearances in the Bundesliga 2 for his parent club this season, and both Chelsea and United have had their scouts closely monitoring his performances.

There’s a strong possibility that prominent clubs may make offers for him in the summer of 2024, given his immense talent. The Blues are consistently searching for exciting talents.
Ideally, it would be beneficial for the young player to continue his development with Schalke. If he continues to progress, the club can command a decent transfer fee for him instead of losing him at a young age.
Furthermore, he might also be enticed to stay in Germany, and a move to Bayern Munich in the future.
