Chelsea have identified Fulham playmaker Andreas Pereira as a replacement for Mason Mount who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer window.
Mount’s talks with the Blues camp over a new deal have hit a roadblock owing to the player’s demands for a major wage hike and talk has gained ground that the England midfielder could be heading out the exit door later this year.
According to a report from ESPN, it is claimed that the Brazilian maestro Pereira is on Chelsea’s transfer radar with the possibility raised that Mount could leave Stamford Bridge in the summer as Liverpool eye up the latter’s signature.
Pereira signed for Fulham last summer from Manchester United and his form at Craven Cottage in his debut campaign have made him a target for Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain as well.
The report also suggests that the player is happy to stay put at Fulham but would find the opportunity to join one of Europe’s top sides hard to turn down if they come calling for his services over the summer.
