Former Chelsea man Frank Leboeuf is not convinced of Borussia Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland being the perfect addition to the Stamford Bridge camp this summer.
Haaland has been recently linked with a summer transfer to the Blues as the new boss Thomas Tuchel seeks to make a major splash in the market and bring in talent from across the continent.
The Dortmund forward is one name that has propped up on Tuchel’s radar and on the back of his superb goalscoring run for the Bundesliga outfit, many believe that Haaland could become a real star presence in the Chelsea colours should he make the move to west London.
However, Chelsea hero Leboeuf has voiced concerns over the speculation linking Haaland with his former side as the Frenchman argued that Tuchel’s desire to bring the highly-rated Norwegian to the club could pose the risk of disharmony amongst the existing first-team members.
‘Haaland is a beast. Of course it would be a plus for Chelsea,’ Leboeuf said as quoted by Metro.
‘But now you have to think financially and economically, and you also have to also think and make sure your dressing room is going to be following the coach.
‘If you put Haaland (in the team) you lose [Olivier] Giroud, but you might lose [Kai] Havertz, you might lose Werner as well. What about [Christian] Pulisic? Where are you going to play [Hakim] Ziyech?
‘That is an equation that you have to make sure is going to work and that the results are going to be good for the club. ‘You can add talents, that is not a problem. But you have to make sure the chemistry works.
‘Otherwise it is going for disaster. Having only talent doesn’t make sure you are going to win something.’
