Chelsea have set their sights on Juventus outcast Adrien Rabiot

As reported by Football London, Chelsea are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer.

The 28-year-old is about to become a free agent in the summer transfer window. Additionally, the World Cup finalist’s agents are talking about a Bosman move to Stamford Bridge.

After several turbulent campaigns, Rabiot has earned himself a second chance this year. The French star abruptly left Paris Saint-Germain and it appeared that Bosman’s move to Juventus nearly four years ago would be a flop.

However, this season, the 28-year-old has significantly increased his performance levels. He also played for the French team that advanced to the FIFA World Cup final in 2022.

In 41 appearances in all competitions this season, the player has 11 goals and 4 assists. However, Rabiot’s contract status has raised concerns among other teams, notably Chelsea, and put Juventus in a tight scenario.

The Frenchman’s Juventus contract is about to expire. He will probably depart the Bianconeri as a free agent given the nature of the talks between the two parties.

Enzo Fernandez was signed by the Blues in the summer transfer window for a club-record amount. However, they will still be looking for a midfielder this summer.

This is due to the future of certain midfielders at Stamford Bridge being unknown. N’Golo Kante is one of them; his present deal expires in a few weeks and he hasn’t signed a new one.

Conor Gallagher, Mason Mount, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also have hazy Chelsea futures. Romeo Lavia is one of the midfielders the Blues are targeting this summer.

Chelsea’s transfer wish-list also includes Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram in addition to Lavia and Rabiot. It will also be intriguing to watch which two midfielders the Blues sign during the summer transfer window.
