Chelsea have set a £25.6 million asking price for AS Roma target Kurt Zouma

AS Roma’s new boss Jose Mourinho has been told by Chelsea that he will have to splash £25.6 million should he wish to sign his former Chelsea player Kurt Zouma this summer.

Zouma is wanted by Mourinho who is now in charge of AS Roma in Serie A which marks his return to coaching after being handed the axe by Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the year.

The Chelsea centre-back is understood to be in line to seal a move away from Stamford Bridge after falling down the pecking order since Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard in January following which the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen became established starters in the Blues backline.

Reports from French news outlet RMC claim that Chelsea are willing to discuss Zouma’s exit to AS Roma only on a permanent basis this summer for which the west London giants are seeking a fee worth £25.6 million.

Chelsea themselves have been believed to be in the transfer market this time around for a fresh defensive talent with Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule one such name scouted by former Dortmund boss Tuchel following his appointment to the Chelsea job.
