Chelsea have ex-Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann on their shortlist if they end up handing the sack to the current boss Graham Potter.
Nagelsmann was relieved of his duties as the Bayern Munich head coach last week with the Bavarian giants appointing the former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as his successor on a long-term contract.
The Blues, meanwhile, are reportedly considering Nagelsmann as a name on their shortlist should the under-fire Potter be shown the door at the end of the season despite Chelsea being willing to act patient with the latter’s approach in the dugout.
News #Nagelsmann: Understand he’s on the shortlist of #CFC! In case that Potter should be dismissed. But important: Chelsea wants to continue with Potter, the bosses support him. But he has to deliver now! JN is unlikely to take over a new job immediately. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪 pic.twitter.com/oJRTL8cZv1

According to a claim from the journalist Florian Plettenberg, Nagelsmann would not be seeking a return to the dugout in the immediate future and the timeline could work in Chelsea’s favour with the Blues ready to stick with Potter at present.
Chelsea, however, are not the only Premier League side after Nagelsmann’s services with the German coach also wanted by the Blues’ local rivals Tottenham Hotspur who recently parted company with Antonio Conte.
