Chelsea have agreed on personal terms with Monaco centre-back Benoit Badiashile who is set to become the west London side’s third signing of the January transfer window.
The French centre-back, who has earned two full caps for his country, is said to be on the verge of joining Graham Potter’s Blues days ahead of the January window with the transfer now in its “final stages”.

According to the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Badiashile is keen to make the move to Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are close to announcing the arrival of their latest recruit to bolster an injury hit backline.
Badiashile’s arrival will reinforce the defensive ranks at the Bridge which have lost summer signing Wesley Fofana to an extended injury niggle while the first-choice wing back Reece James also looks likely to be ruled out until early 2023.
Chelsea have already brought in Molde’s David Datro Fofana and Vasco da Gama’s Andrey Santos and strengthened the squad at Potter’s disposal with the manager heading into his first transfer window since he arrived in the dugout earlier this year.
