Chelsea goalkeeper Keep Arrizabalaga is reportedly the top target for Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri ahead of this coming summer’s transfer window.
According to a report from Corriere della Sera’s Roma edition ( via Sports Witness), it is claimed that the ex-Blues boss Sarri remains keen on landing his former Chelsea player who has now fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge.
Kepa is behind the Senegal shot-stopper Edouard Mendy in the pecking order and looks unlikely to gain regular first-team action under Thomas Tuchel’s charge with a summer exit mulled over by the former Bilbao man.
Pricing constraints, however, could threaten to play spoilsport to Lazio’s plans of bringing in the Stamford Bridge outcast with Chelsea holding out for a sizable asking price to sanction Kepa’s sale heading into the start of the new season.
Lazio would be pushing for a loan agreement to sign the Spain international goalkeeper in a deal that could see Chelsea fork out a major chunk of the player’s wages which are understood to be the region of €7 million/year.
