Chelsea full-back Reece James opens up on Jorginho and Thomas Tuchel

Chelsea’s Reece James was not in the mood to give even a little leverage when the Blues faced the Premier League’s bottom club Sheffield United on Sunday evening. As a key player of Chelsea who was involved in Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat on their previous visit to Bramall Lane back in July last year, James was more cautious and left no stone unturned while he played the important match.

This time the Blues had tasted a much more favorable result and as they defeated them 2-1 courtesy to mason Mount and Jorginho’s penalty goal. It helped Chelsea to move it up to the fifth position in the Premier League.

With a victory lap, James spoke about the team’s spirit and the reaction team gave after conceding an equalizer in the second half. He also spoke on Timo Werner’s influence over the match and also about Jorginho’s penalty. James opened up on the role of new manager Tuchel and the opportunities waiting for Timo under his realm.

The penalty goal proved to be Jorginho’s second goal in the winning streak in the space of four days’ time. It was not taken in a similar fashion as the way he does. Compared to the one taken against Tottenham, it was a very different and more conventional style and must be as a result of three earlier misses this season.

Jorginho works very hard and practices a lot and that is showing in games,’ the right wing-back said as per Chelsea’s Official website.

‘His time is coming. He is working very hard and he was involved in two goals so it is not like he is not contributing. Two of his contributions helped get the win. In football, sometimes mistakes and strange things happen but we reacted well [to the own-goal equalizer] and we managed to get a penalty.

‘We knew coming to Sheffield United was going to be a tough game. Last year they showed they are a very strong team and we knew we had to give 100 per cent to come away with the win.’

The English International even spoke about the new manager, Thomas Tuchel. He said how Tuchel has made the playing strategy crystal clear to them as soon as he joined the club.

‘From the minute he came in he made his style of play very evident and clear and I think we have taken that onboard very well, and you can probably see that we look like we are playing better as a team as well.’

Chelsea yet again found a win in the FA Cup fifth round as Tammy Abraham scored the only goal of the match to give a 1-0 victory away from home.
