Chelsea first-team coach Anthony Barry is set to depart Stamford Bridge for Bayern Munich with the two clubs coming to a compensation agreement.
Since the former Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel took over at Bayern in March, it is said that one of the German’s priorities was reuniting with Barry whom he worked together with in west London.
According to a report from The Athletic, it is claimed that Chelsea and Bayern have agreed upon compensation of close to £1 million that will see Barry make the move to the Bavarian giants Bayern.
It is said that Barry was staying away from Chelsea’s training ground amid Bayern stepping up their pursuit of the coach who first linked up with the Blues in 2020 as an assistant coach after his stint at Championship outfit Wigan Athletic for three years.
The agreement between Chelsea and Bayern comes after both teams exited the Champions League earlier in the week with the possibility that the two sides could have met in the semi-finals seen as a stumbling block to Barry’s move to Bayern.
