Chelsea’s Predicted Line Up Against Brighton | Starting 11

With the football season now almost at its end, Chelsea are now looking forward to an exciting clash with Brighton. Now the team’s injury list this season has been reduced to a minimum, in important matches.

In recent weeks, Reece James, Christopher Ncunku, Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi and Malo Gusto have all made long-awaited returns. Their return to the pitch now leaves only Enzo Fernandez, Robert Sanchez, Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia on the treatment table.

Additionally, Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka are close to returning to the team. Chilwell was out with a knee injury and was playing for England back in March, while Chukwuemeka had struggled with knee problems and neither will be a specific starter this weekend.

Team manager Mauricio Pochettino said at a press conference that both players were “close to being match-fit” but not yet there. If they fail to make it to Brighton in time, they can make it to Sunday’s Bournemouth.

One of the joys of recent days has been the return of Reece James. Five months after an operation on his foot, James was finally back out in Nottingham Forest again. It was an incredible 18 minutes of play, reaching the very end of the contest when Chelsea came from behind to score two in a row.

With a full combination of 20 senior players available for the first time this year, Pochettino has plenty of options at Brighton this weekend. He will likely stick with the same XI that proved so successful last time out.

Chelsea Predicted Lineup Against Brighton:

Petrovic, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Badiashile, Cucurella, Caicedo, Gallagher, Madueke, Palmer, Mudryk, and Jackson.

Chilwell and Chukwuemeka are doubtful; Fernandez, Sanchez, Fofana, and Lavia will definitely miss the match because of injury.

This game is of massive significance for Chelsea, being their second last game of the season. With a strong lineup and recent successes under their belt, they go into this game against Brighton looking forward to a competitive game.
