Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard made just one change to the Chelsea side that defeated Brighton in the season opener game at the Amex stadium.
In today’s clash against Liverpool, he started Mateo Kovacic in place of Ruben Loftus-cheek in the midfield. Kovacic, having missed the match against Brighton as he was suspended.
All eyes on marquee summer additions Kai Havertz and Timo Werner as they face off against the reigning champions Liverpool. Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, and Hakim Ziyech were not included in the squad due to lack of match fitness.
For the second time, fans consider the decision of playing Callum Hudson Odoi instead of Mason Mount in the left-wing. Fans took their anger on Twitter as they are fed up with Mount’s performance in the wings.

Chelsea’s problems are still ploughing the defensive area. With the same faces of Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen, and Kurt Zouma like last season, fans are fearing the same situations in important matches.
They are therefore rooting for the new faces(Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva) in defence along with Edouard Mendy as Kepa’s replacement, with the Frenchman being close to signing for the Blues this summer.
Chelsea is already feeling the absence of Christian Pulisic and new summer recruit Kai Havertz yet to be accustomed to the league.
