The VfB Stuttgart defender has emerged on the shopping list for a host of European heavyweight clubs with FC Barcelona and Manchester United also set to provide a challenge to Chelsea on the transfer front.
Sosa is understood to have a release clause in his current terms which could ensure his departure from the Stuttgart camp for a fee in the region of €25 million in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old turned out in 30 appearances in Bundesliga football for his side over the course of the campaign, contributing with nine assists and two goals and earning rave reviews from the Stuttgart supporters.
