Chelsea face a stern challenge from Manchester United for signing Victor Osimhen with the Napoli frontman emerging as a coveted name in the market following his red hot streak of form.
Napoli sit 13 points adrift of Inter Milan at the summit of the Serie A standings and Osimhen has been as pivotal a figure for his side with the Nigerian forward netting 16 goals in 17 league appearances.
According to a report from the Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport ( via Metro), it is claimed that Chelsea and Manchester United could be convinced to table an eyewatering £107 million bid to land Osimhen’s signature.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also touted as potential suitors for the Napoli star with competition likely to intensify even more amongst the biggest clubs across Europe as Osimhen continues to impress with his displays in Italy’s top flight.
A £107 million transfer, should it be agreed upon by any Premier League side, would break the British transfer record which Chelsea set just last month to sign midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
